My nails are really unhealthy because I have always got nail polish on. There hasn't been one day when I haven't. Whenever I remove my nail polish, straight away I put some other nail polish on. My nails used to be really healthy but now they are just yellow so have I have found some tips and some products that may make nails healthy looking again, for people that are nail polish addicts like me.
The first product that I have recently started using is Rimmel London Nail Care. This is a good product and it also gives a nice shine to your nails. You can also use this as a base coat for when applying nail polish as it protects your nails better than when you apply nail polish without a base coat. You can clearly see the difference between my nails on the right picture. This costed about £4.50.
This was supposed to go real quick but isn't really. It should be a hand kind of waving around. Anyways what I am trying to tell is afterwards dry your nails polish by either blowing on your nails or doing what I am doing.
Then the last product is from Holland and Barrett. A Bio active skincare creme which smells absolutely lovely like roses! this product costed about £7.00 and it was totally worth it because it is not only for your nails but also dry rough parts of your hands which is perfect for me. This products has made my hands so soft that I can't stop touching them. I haven't seen any difference for my nails yet but I have only just started to use this creme so the effect may start in a few weeks but I would totally recommend this product. Absolutely lovable. You can get it in different smells and this product also provides with some healthy vitamins for your hands and nails.
Then lastly some healthy nail tips.
- Keep your nails dry and mostly clean at all times. This prevents bacteria or fungi types from growing under your nails.
- For when washing dishes, cleaning or using harsh chemicals use cotton lined gloves.
- Avoid long soaks in the tub.
- Trim and file your nails regularly. It might be easier to trim them when they are soft so after having bath.
- When you use a moisturizer rub the lotion into your fingernails.
